Not effective
I spread this stuff out among 40 rooms in a hotel to test it. Turned out the bugs spread even through the powder. So I set up some tests (all separate bugs, tested at approx 90 degree room): -table surface with a semi-circle around the bugs. -The bugs didn't mind going right through the powder. -Then I made a puff and put the bug right on it, the bug wasn't even irritated enough to walk off of it. - set up 3 cups and tried different concentrations of the powder - let them stay in the cup for 3 or 6 hrs (3 concentrations at each of the time options) Basically each test indicated the stuff doesn't bother them within a 24 hr period. I stored the bugs individually for 24 hr period and they were all still alive, each had powder on it's body. (see photo I uploaded). Then I did some research and what it sounds like to me is, basically the company is relying on diffusion at the same rates as plants. If you put a lot of salt or other minerals around a plant (highly concentrated) it makes it difficult for the plant to suck up water through it's roots (assume more salt in environment than plant). Applying the same concept, cover the bed bugs in a bunch of dust/powder, eventually the powder will suck the fluids out of the bugs. Until then, they may lay eggs, have sex, feed, or even have the powder rubbed off of them. Furthermore, I had a health inspector come in to advise me. They said the stuff has worked sometimes according to other hotels BUT can be highly irritating/dangerous to your respiratory system.
