this is what the roller looks like after every vacuuming
We saw the ads and thought since our Riccar had given out, the Shark"True Pet" might be a suitable substitute. What we have found is that much of the dog hair that the vacuum picks up wraps around the roller, rather than being drawn into the canister. This requires that we must pull the dog hair from the roller after every use. We have had two Newfoundland dogs at any given time over the past 40 years, and never had a vacuum that required that level of cleaning. Upon contacting the company, they tell me that there is nothing they can do--that this is a normal phenomenon. Over the years, we have owned Hoovers, Dysons, Riccars and never had this type of issue. The photo shows the roller after vacuuming five days after having our carpets professionally cleaned. But it doesn't matter, this is what the roller looks like after every vacuuming. Not sure how or why the company calls this a "True Pet" model when it doesn't adequately deal with pet hair!
