Beware the sloooow refund of money for large item returns!
When I returned a new camera that I bought using the Amazon store card, I expected my money to be returned to my bank as fast as it was taken out of my bank account. NO! It turns out that all returns either stay on the store card as a credit or you get mailed a check. And you only get sent a check by mail if you request a cash return. That should be the default for large refunds. They should not hold our money hostage. We should get our money refunded electronically. This is 2017. Why should we have to wait to get our money refunded?
It took a month for me to get my $1000 returned by check by "snail mail." That is unacceptable. Up until this happened I had not had any problems with the Amazon Store card. But once burned, twice shy. I will NOT buying any large items via the Amazon Store card. I do not want to wait a month again to get my money refunded. When I bought a new camera to replace the one I sent back, I used my Amazon Visa card instead.
