I would absolutely buy this if I was a bank robber. My daughter's fingerprints (both hands) are gone (luckily, they come back). In the photo, the shiny parts of my daughter's fingertips is actually puss oozing out. Her fingertips were rubbed completely raw. Yikes. The thought of a Slime or Goop without the mess is great. 20 minutes in, I started cleaning up to take my 5 year old into the pool. Later, I noticed her fingertips. Pretty upsetting, it took me a minute to realize it was caused by the sand. I've had sand sores plenty of times from beach PT etc. I treated this the same. Neosporin, vaseline, bandaids. Luckily, the fingers are now healed up (purchased this product two weeks ago). 20 minutes was maybe 10 minutes too many. I'm usually the first person to make fun of dumb parents. Maybe I should've know better, or maybe there is a warning against lengthy play that I missed? I don't feel like this was a "dumb parent" mistake. I mean, I am a man, my wife sometimes holds that against me....so maybe I should've just gotten my kids a bow and arrow? However, something in my Dad Brain said Slime Sand would be safer. It is, since it can't pierce skin....not directly at least. Cool product, but what fun is it with Latex gloves on? 2 Stars because I'm not sure how to rate this. I LOVE the product, not happy with the results though. Super Bummed. UPDATE: 5/2021 My daughter is still playing with this. We still use 3mil latex gloves. The last 5-10 minutes I let her play without gloves. She isn't overly sensitive to anything, so it's not her. This product has held up well, it hasn't dried out like I expected. Updated rating from 2 stars to 3 stars.
