Disappointed by BulkSupplements.com
After buying several products from BulkSupplements.com, I decided to do some research (unfortunately after the purchase). I am disappointed from what I have learned.
I signed up with CL (ConsumerLabs.com), a company that tests supplements, and found BulkSupplements.com’s products to be lacking when it comes to integrity of their products. CL tested 10 of BS’ products and did not approve 3 of them.
If there are inconsistencies with 30% of the products tested, that means BulkSupplements.com doesn’t do a thorough job of quality control. What does that mean with the other products they sell?
I imagine they outsource their products, but they still need to check the quality.
Even with the 70% of the products that passed, what happens with the next batch? Would those same products pass quality inspection when the next truckload comes through their warehouse?
Until I see a better commitment on the quality of their products, I won’t be buying anything else from BulkSupplements.com.
Below are the products tested by CL and the results:
Creatine – Approved
BCAA – 80% of L-leucine listed
Ginko – “Found only 0.98 mg flavonol glycosides (less than 3% of the expected amount) and 0.01 mg terpene lactones (only 0.1% of expected amount) per 1/16 tsp. serving of powder.” Really??? Less than 3% and less than .1% (.01???) of the listed ingredient?
CoQ10 – Approved
B Vitamins – Approved (B3 only)
Magnesium – less than 80% of amount magnesium citrate listed
Potassium – Approved
Quercetin – Approved (Top Pick)
Taurine – Approved (Top Pick)
Resveratrol – Approved
