I'm all for ensuring that casts are diverse and actually represent the characters being portrayed. To this end, Michael Jordan as a Senior Chief in the Navy SEALs is more than believable. While not my favorite actor, you can see him in this role... notwithstanding the fact his character is supposed to be Irish. Where it completely went off the rails is the SEAL Team was headed by a female Lt. Commander who was involved in the operation at the opening of the movie. First, the possibility that you are going to see a Lt. Commander leading a SEAL mission is pretty much nill. The chance that said Lt. Commander would be a woman is less than zero. The chance that said woman with no physique making it through SEAL selection and passing all of the schools and being cleared for operational status is also less than zero. Throw in the fact that the salad on her uniform indicated she was enlisted for 12 years before being commissioned as an Ensign would have made her MUCH older than her portrayed age. None of it made any sense and it all screamed of checking off boxes on a "Woke Checkcard" of intersectionality. Pure, unadulturated GARBAGE. If you want an accurate portrayal of the contribution women make to SEAL times I suggest watching the show SEAL Team in which the intelligence and support staff are populated by smart and capable women that accurately reflect the valuable contributions make to our nation's defense. Don't diminish their real contributions with Mary Sue GI Jane fantasy tripe. Tom Clancy is rolling in his grave watching his franchise be destroyed. At lease he isn't alive to see it, George Lucas must wonder daily why he sold out to Disney and allowed them to ruin the greatest intergalactic story ever. Avoid this movie, it is not worth it.
