I'm giving this Hoover two stars as it does a fairly good job of sucking up liquid out of carpets. Unfortunately, it didn't last very long. I bought the Hoover on December 11, 2016 mainly for cleaning our puppy's accidents during potty training. After 4 months of use the suction hose has almost snapped right off. I'm really disappointed as I haven't used it all that much and considering it's a Hoover, you would think you were buying a quality product.
