Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I received these slippers today. I got the black ones. I try to be fair and open minded about my reviews and usually give a 4 or 5 star review. But in this case I am giving only a 2 star. I took the other reviewers advice and bought larger. I normally wear size 8 1/2 so I ordered a size 10. Length wise they fit ok .. my toe hits the end of the shoe. The heel is wide on me and my heel slides up and down which causes my socks to slip down. They are very hard to get on....even this size 10. To me this is wrong sizing. If everyone is having to order a larger size they are not properly sized. But the 10 does fit ok. My biggest complaint is no cushioning in the heel. It feels like I am walking on rocks. The toe part has a lot of plushness and they are really warm and cozy but I don't think I'm going to be able to wear them because of no cushioning for my heels. It's really strange because when I put my hand in them it feels like there is lots of cushioning but when I stand and put weight on them it mashes right down to the very stiff and hard sole. The ad says it is a memory foam insole but it doesn't feel like memory foam on my heels. One of the reasons I bought new is because my old slippers didn't have much heel cushioning left.... but they are old. Also, there is absolutely no arch support in them...which I understand a lot of slippers don't have arch support but with the hard sole I expected at least a little arch support. For $25.00 I expected better heel cushioning, with the hard sole I expected some arch support and the sizing is way off. Too soon to tell how well they are going to wash and wear. Right now I'm not sure if I am going to keep them or send them back.
