Never again Lenovo. Ever.
What a mess. I bought/received this nice looking tablet 3weeks ago. I definitely liked the look and was excited about the Alexa dock it came with. Seemed like a cool bonus. Little did I know what I was in store for.
First thing I noticed was the dock and tablet kept losing connection with the Bluetooth. I would have to press the Bluetooth button and hopefully it just synced. Most times I had to go to the tablet's settings...turn off the Bluetooth and then back on for them to find each other. Finally I said forget the speaker...I really only wanted this for my DJI Drone anyway since I'm going on vacation in 2weeks.
I left the tablet for the last three weeks on the dock and maybe asked Alexa about the weather a handful of times. Yesterday morning I took it off the dock to look something up and the screen was just black...but still on. I hit the power button and the option to restart/airplane mode/shut down would pop up. After restarting.. nothing. Same black screen. I tried to enter the factory reset ( holding power button and volume up )...it would just sit on a grey " FFBM " screen. Still nothing...no options or anything.
After doing all I could on a three week old tablet, I decided to call Lenovo. After a strong 25 minutes of waiting on the phone, I finally reached someone...who then passed me to someone else a few times. After explaining to the new person what the tablet was doing ( the UI...or user interface was not loading ), the young lady said she was going to transfer me to level two support...after I paid $40 for it. WHAT?! This was the last straw. When I asked why in Earth would I be paying anyone for anything for a tablet that's only 3 weeks old...AND is still under warranty, I was told the issue is Lenovo software based while the warranty is only for hardware issues. So if I wanted further assistance, I would have to pay for it.
You have got to be kidding me. I called Amazon and told them what was going on. They offered to send me a replacement and just be sure to send the defective one back in under 30days. I told them NO. I just want my money back and I will never EVER again purchase anything from Lenovo again.
Besides the less than one month equipment fail...besides the fact that the company's tech support barely understood anything I was telling them because of the technical support's lack of understanding the English language being spoken on my end of the phone line... but trying to make me pay over the phone for an issue that the software of their product was having is 100% inexcusable.
So now I have to wait for Amazon to receive the Lenovo tablet for them to refund my money in the form of an on-line gift certificate. Hopefully this happens as soon as possible so I can get a Samsung tablet delivered before my vacation.
Like I said...never again Lenovo.
