★★☆☆☆
Not as great as some reviews make it sound.
I am an older man who cleans his own house. I have used this vacuum 3 or 4 times now and I just don't care for it Why? Well, it's different from the domestic brands I have used. On the main hard-floor attachment, there are only two wheels. These two wheels are attached toward the back of the floor attachment. The front of the attachment has short bristles and NO wheels. Therefore, the front of the attachment "rubs against the floor" as you are vacuuming. When I tried to vacuum some larger particles, I had to go "back and forth" 4 or 5 times because the larger particles wouldn't easily go under the floor attachment. There is another attachment that has a rotating brush. It can be used on cloth furniture and carpets. But, it is only about 8 inches wide. It vacuums very well on carpeting. BUT, because the attachment isn't very wide, it require more "back & forth movement" on your part (not a good thing). The main canister is rather small and it is NOT heavy at all (a good thing). The flexible hose is sturdy and you can adjust the length of the rigid tube by simply pressing a button and sliding the tube. When fully extended, it can reach pretty high (a good thing). The power cord is 19.5 feet long (I measured it), and it retracts with the push of a button. Now, here's something that I can't understand. The vacuum bags are fairly large. But, the compartment where the bag is located is fairly small. When you close the lid for the bag compartment, the vacuum bag gets crumpled (not a good thing). Because of the small compartment, the vacuum bag will only hold about one-half of it's actual capacity (yet another 'not a good thing'. The suction power is fairly good, but not great. This vacuum is VERY QUIET which is probably it's best feature. In conclusion, this vacuum looks nice (if that's important to you). It is easy to carry and has plenty of extra tools. And it's VERY quiet. The downside is that the main floor attachments are clumsy, and the bag compartment is small. If you have a lot of carpeting at home, I would suggest you get a vacuum that has a wider vacuum head. I'm not sure why some reviewers are raving about this vacuum. Perhaps they haven't had much experience with vacuums that are better than this one. I have, and so I have decided to return this one.
