Defective product with no real warranty
I did a lot of research on affordable upright bikes and went with this one due to the rave reviews... wish I hadn't. There's something wrong with the bike I received. The pedal (?) hits something on almost every downstroke. It is completely distracting because you constantly feel the pedal being hit and the loud knocking sound. It gets really annoying.
I knew there was a warranty, so I called and... there's not really a warranty. They are out of parts for this bike. All they can tell you to do is go back to the seller and ask for a refund. I did go back to Amazon and they were extremely helpful. They will pay for repairs and/or a refund. But this still means the warranty I thought I had is invalid and I have to 1.) figure out how to ship this massive thing back to Amazon and pay all the shipping and handling fees or 2.) hunt around for someone who can fix the bike, drag it there, possibly take time off work, etc. This brand is so uncommon even Sears doesn't do repairs on it. I don't even know how it's fixed. You can take out all the screws around the machine but you can only spread out the cover as far as where the pedal arms are attached which I'm not even sure come off? I put a flashlight inside but can't see enough. And really, is all this frustration worth it for $130? Not in my opinion. I wanted to love this bike but it has been nothing but a headache and a waste of time and money.
If you buy the bike, hold on to the box in case you need to return it, and be aware that if you have any issues the company cannot/will not help you.
Ugh.
