I ordered 2 lanterns which were shipped about mid-September. After inserting the batteries (brand new) I found that one lantern did not work at all and the other produced less light, (on the highest setting) than a typical bathroom "nite lite" with one Christmas tree bulb. I called the 800 number on the invoice to complain, and requested the return address and a refund. The rep' looked up the order/shipping record and informed me that they could not be returned or refunded as "they must be returned or a complaint filed within 30 days"....."Sorry we cannot help you, that's our policy, have a nice day, goodbye." The 30 day cut-off was not stated on the invoice in writing as it should be. I then relayed my story to the credit card co. where it was billed and they agreed that if "100% satisfaction is guaranteed and the product is defective" I cannot be charged regardless of the shippers "policy". So hopefully the charge can be reversed and the card company can put some pressure on them. I will definitely not order from Telebrands again, as it appears that 80% of the customers who purchased these were not satisfied. The lanterns were cheaply made, advertising is false, and they are totally worthless. Later I saw similar lanterns in a discount store for only $8 and for a few dollars more you can get a good Coleman camp lantern which is dependable.
