Rarely do I write negative reviews, but this unit deserves it. Purchased March 25, 2018. Within 4 months the sensor that prevents ice build up when basket is full malfunctioned. We could deal with that. Within 6 months we noted what appeared to be mineral corrosion on the condenser, even though we use filtered water. More recently metallic flakes began appearing on the plastic below the condenser and in the water tank. Tested and the flakes are magnetic, so condenser posts perhaps hare chipping away. I should have called the company on this before the one year warranty ran out, but we were busy and I missed the deadline. Though NewAir responds to emails, they tell us it's beyond warranty. There are no replacement parts, and "Hoping you having good day." Well, guess what! Total waste of money. I do not recommend.
