wow! what can I say? Okay... I'm REALLY honest about my reviews and I try to make them when I have the time so excuse me while I get all up in this little box that I get to type my feelings into. pretty sure I'm going to repeat myself a little because I just felt so excited to get this out. At first I was really excited about the Sleek EZ grooming tool, because I saw a lot of really good reviews from people. but then I saw a few that said "it's kind of REALLY thinning out my pets hair". I even saw a photo of of a cat with a red and irritated belly that was pretty much bald. So I thought, "I'll just order it to try and if I don't like it then I'll send it back." ... I don't like it! I don't like it! I don't like it! The teeth on the blade is literally a hacksaw stuck into a piece of wood. I'm not exaggerating either. I compared it to a hacksaw that I have and they are IDENTICAL. I got the 2.5" brush so it was small enough to fit in my hand but the ends are blunt. They were cut (probably with the hacksaw attached) then the ends were lightly sanded. They are still pointy enough to be irritating on the palms, especially if you have a lot of pets to brush or a big animal to brush.. This isn't the complaint that I have about it though. My complaint is that it's a freaking hacksaw being marketed as a SAFE freaking pet hair grooming tool. The teeth on this brush are curved to the side and sharp. very sharp. I have a pet brush/grooming tool by 'JW Pet Company'. The teeth on this tool, have up and down pointed teeth, kind of like the letters "MWMWM" BUUUT! the teeth are not sharp. I could brush my hand across the teeth on both brushes and the only one that would literally cut my hand in 2 or 3 or however many pieces you wanted, is the freaking Sleek EZ grooming tool. I have made a video review but the last few videos that I've tried posting on my other reviews, never posted because of some error with the uploading tool. I'll try again so you can see exactly what I mean. I used the brush for a short amount of time and wasn't brushing hard at all. you're supposed to brush using small short strokes and that's exactly what I did and it literally shaved off almost a bald spot on my cat. For the little amount of time that I used the brush and for the unnatural amount of hair that was shaved off of my cat, he is STILL shedding in the spot that I brushed him. Don't get me wrong... my cat does shed a lot BUT after I brush him with my other brush, the shedding significantly lowers. The Sleek EZ didn't do that. Of course people are going to be super excited because they are seeing buttloads of hair coming off right away in bushels so obviously that means it's a great tool to use right? EFF NO! this is only taking a ton of hair off because you are scraping a sharp blade over it that is basically acting like a razor. STAY AWAY!!! rant over.
