UPDATED REVIEW: I reordered this mask from the same vendor because I was so pleased (I wrote my original 5 star review below). This time the two masks I received were entirely different: 1. MOST IMPORTANT: THERE IS AN EXHALATION VENT BUTTON, WHICH TOTALLY UNDERMINES THE PURPOSE OF THE MASK FOR VIRUS PROTECTION. These masks with the vent are used in China to protect from haze and dust, and do not prevent release of infectious virus droplets. Therefore, they cannot be used for the purpose I ordered them. The product photo and the first shipment I received did not have this round plastic exhalation vent. 2. Smaller, less comfortable 3. Less well made, thinner 4. Inner pocket for the insertable filter was only open at one end instead of both ends, so it was difficult to inset the filter 5. Very stiff and reeked of sizing, which was different from first order. The instructions do say to wash it first, but it wasn’t necessary for the first mask order. 6. No mention of advertised brand “Illily” anywhere in the packaging. The inferior, ineffective mask was substituted. ORIGINAL 5 STAR REVIEW BELOW — NO LONGER DESCRIBES THE PRODUCT: This mask is soft and comfortable, doesn't hurt my ears or slip off like some others I have used, and the bendable wire at the nasal margin helps it conform snugly to my face without large gaps. Facial coverage is good. Comes with 2 filters that are a standard size available separately elsewhere and fit into an inside slot pocket. Though not the very hard to get gold standard filter masks, these are of better functionality and fit than most I have seen. Shipped promptly, faster than I expected. Edited to add: It's important to realize that the bendable wire at the bridge of the nose means that you should HAND WASH this mask instead of letting it get crushed in a washing machine. This bit of extra effort is well worth having a mask with no edge gaps that would degrade protection. The washing instructions in the Amazon listing make this clear: Handwash separately with care Do Not Tumble Dry Do not Iron Handwash with warm water We recommend washing the mask before wearing it."
