I purchased this brush without much research into other grill ...
I purchased this brush without much research into other grill brushes, as I trust the Weber name, and they are known for high quality products (I own their stainless steel grill and stainless steel utensils). Nonetheless, grill brushes are not their core competency (now confirmed by my experience from this purchase).
Two things to note:
1. Grill brush is too short to use and apply leverage over a hot grill. Mitigant: own grill gloves. Aside: It's length does make the shaft more durable, any longer it would probably be too flimsy to apply leverage.
2. The bristles are spread to far apart. There are large gaps (about 1 cm wide) in between bristles. You tend to scrap the grill grate with the hard wire core (of which the bristles are wound in between) rather than the actual bristles themselves.
