I recently purchased this to replace my Sunbeam heated mattress pad that died and I love it. With the Sunbeam I had to turn up to high in order to even be able to feel the warmth. So far, I have not turned this up past 4. Great product! UPDATE: we have used this for just over a year and last night I noticed my side of the bed was extra warm. I immediately turned it off and when I got up this morning I looked a bit closer. The cord connecting the controller is MELTED!!!!! I am so glad I felt it getting warm and it did not start a fire!
