★★☆☆☆
Misleading if not downright fraudulent
It's hard to find reasonably priced Mag Taurate so when I found this product on Amazon I thought I was getting a deal... wrong! Upon opening the bottle and seeing how small the capsules were compared to other brands I've tried I became suspicious. The label claims 200mg of Magnesium per 1 Vegetable Capsule and lists "50% Daily Value" (400mg of Elemental Mag is the RDA). So here's the breakdown: Magnesium Taurate is roughly 8.9% Elemental Magnesium with the other 91.1% being Taurine by weight; with that fact in mind, for one capsule to contain 200mg Magnesium the contents within would need to weigh roughly 2g or 2,000mg (without even considering fillers which are listed as "Other ingredients"). Upon weighing the capsule (picture shown) I was shocked to find that the entire capsule, fillers and all, only weighed roughly 576mg! This would come to less than 50mg of Magnesium per capsule. There is no excuse for falsely advertising more than 4x the amount of active ingredient (elemental Magnesium - "50% DV") on your label. Shame on Natural Rhythm!
