I purchased this device for my business, which has a lot more power draw than any residence, and I didn't notice a bit of difference on my power bill. The review by Matthew did a far better job explaining this scam than I can even begin, so I won't go into a lot of details. I did however, want to leave this review, because if you do further research on-line you will read that the company representatives from PowerGard claim that this is not for homes, it is for commercial locations. They claim that they do not try to sell it to homes, but that it will work for businesses. Again, Matthew's review explained this scam the best... I just want to reinforce the point that it not only doesn't work for homes, it doesn't work for businesses either. Luckily I got my money back. Thank you Matthew for sacrificing your warranty to explain this scam to the rest of us.
