The first time I actually needed this, it failed me, despite following instructions to charge at least monthly. Thinking that maybe I didn't charge it enough, I left it plugged in for 24 hours and then tried to jump start again -- I got one sad half-crank and then nothing. It has a button that's supposed to tell you how charged it is. Don't be fooled; that button will light up all the lights unless it's less than 5% charged, so you actually never have any idea how well-charged it really is. It still showed all lights right after not starting my car. This is nothing but a waste of money. You're much better off getting roadside assistance insurance.
