Just purchased this cleaner because it was cheaper than a new one. I spoke with Amazon customer service about the renewed program before I made the purchase. I was lead to believe that this was an open box product that had the manufacturer's warranty, warranty card and directions were included. I purchased the 2 year Amazon protection plan. After receiving my cleaner I found that the filter was brown and that NO manufacturer warranty was included nor directions. The warranty for a renewed APEX is for 90 DAYS ONLY, unless you buy the Amazon protection plan. When purchased New this cleaner comes with a 5-7 year warranty. So for those who do not care about a manufacturers warranty, want to purchase a used product, and still maybe pay for a warranty then a renewed product is for you! I sent mine back and bought a new one on the new Amazon payment plan schedule.
