I purchased this model and tried it for 30 days and have returned it. I am an avid home woodworker and have used several jigsaws. While this Bosch runs nicely and smoothly, it doesn't cut square to the board particularly on thicker boards. The problem is with the slot on the roller that is supposed to hold the blade in place, as the slot is too wide for normal blades including the new Bosch blades I was using. The wide slot allows the blade to move significantly. I called Bosch customer service about this and they acknowledged this issue and suggested I try their highest model the 572 which costs $250 or more! Even the next model up the JS470 still has the same wide roller slot. Until Bosch fixes this issue I cannot recommend this saw. All they need to do is to change to a tightly fitting slot in the roller and it would be greatly improved. Bosch's earlier model saw the 1590 had much better blade control, so I have found that model brand new on an auction site and it works beautifully. I highly recommend 1590 model for hardly any more money than this model here.
