When I got these, I intended to use them as kitchen washcloths. Since all new fabrics smell funky, I put these, along with other new kitchen towels and microfiber cloths. The result of the wash was an utter fail. These rags (AKA washcloths) literally fell apart in the first wash cycle! The other new towels + cloths held up fine. What's worse is that the Simpli-Magic "washcloths" produced endless lint + pieces in the washer + dryer, so I had to rewash the good towels/cloths. I'm keeping the Simpli-Magic cloths as one-and-done throwaways. So, if you get these (and I highly recommend that you don't) DO NOT WASH them. Essentially, they are thick paper towels.
