I am a disabled veteran, I suffer from fibromyalgia, nerve damage all over my body (due to a breaking several vertebrae in my neck) and have suffered a TBI. All of these issues are directly related to my time in the service. Because of this I rely on numerous medications and heavily on my heating pad daily. I purchased this pad to replace an older Sunbeam model that had died after fifteen plus years of service, the last four of them being very heavy use. While this PureRelief heating pad does heat up, it takes much longer than the Sunbeam it replaced. Also the digital controls allow it to be easily adjusted, shut off, or turned on accidentally, as my wife's cat did often while climbing over the couch. However, my biggest complaint was that this heating pad died within eight months. I will be replacing this with the Sunbeam King sized Heating pad. It may cost a few dollars more, but from past experience definitely seems worth it in the end.
