Rafe Judkins should be ashamed.
*Update* As a stand alone fantasy series unrelated to the books, it makes very little sense. Everything is rushed and there is very little explanation. It is very difficult to follow not because it is complex but because of the lack of explanation and a startling amount of inconsistencies by those adapting the series. As an adaptation of the Book series, the tv series is an abomination. It barely resembles the books. If you took away the names of the characters and changed the name of the series, many readers would have difficulty recognizing the “adaptation *end of update * *Spoilers* I watched the first 3 episodes with my wife. I have read the series many times, but my wife had never heard of it. For her, she was ready to stop watching half an episode in. She was lost and the series made little sense. She also thought it was extremely unrealistic how certain characters were portrayed such as Nynaeve stating that she seemed to be a Navy Seal with her fighting abilities. For me, I was dumbfounded. If they changed the names of the characters, I wouldn’t have even been able to recognize that it was The Wheel Of Time. They completely lost the spirit of the show and the soul of the characters. What they turned Mat and his family into was an abomination. I won’t spoil too much, but wow.. I am embarrassed for the Jordan family and Brandon Sanderson. They must be extremely upset by this.
