I find this product both a good value and working perfectly. I have no issues with the threads on the water bottle as other reviewers have reported. Just take your time when you screw it back on and it will be fine. I also have had no problems with splashing water all over when inverting the unit. I only fill it half way though which makes it easier to handle. Again, just take your time. I would buy this product again. UPDATE: I bought three of these, two to use and one as a spare. I always fill them only 1/2 full for easier transport. Now, after only four months the threaded cap on one has cracked and is useless. I have NEVER over tightened them; just threaded until snug. If I could replace the caps when they fail I would still be happy with the product. However, failing after only four months has gone by is just unacceptable. Therefore, I am lowering my review to one star. If the seller sees this and can provide me with a source for replacement caps I will update again. As it stands, I have no way to contact the seller. UPDATE : Well, another month has gone by and the cap has cracked on the other waterer that I have been using. I found the companies website and requested a warranty replacement for the two cracked caps. Also, on the positive side, Petmate does sell replacement caps on their website for .99 and shipping is free. I ordered five of them today as I am confident my problems will out last the warranty. I DO really like the waterers tough. So, I will raise my rating up to three stars. UPDATE: The caps that I ordered (and paid for) were shipped the next day and arrived very quickly. However, the warranty request which included descriptions, pictures of the damaged caps and a copy of my Amazon receipt has been totally ignored. The purchase and the warranty claim were both done at the same time - 10 days ago. Spend your money and you will be taken care of, ask for warranty replacement and you will most likely be ignored - back to one star!!!
