Not kidding. I ordered it because I bought one in 1988 (yes, you read that right.) For 32 glorious years, my old Conair Hair Dryer/Styling Brush worked like a champ - through the 80s Perm-N-Poof days until that gave way to a wavy bob, then the Rachel, then a longer, straighter style, until February 2020 (shoulder length side part.) One day, I plugged in the old gal and she sparked, coughed, and let out her last breath. God Bless her. So I came to Amazon to look for a new one and this one came the closest. Figuring I got 32 years out of the last one, this one should serve me well too. I was wrong. Plugged in the new gal and it worked on one side of my hair for 32 glorious seconds. Then it simply stopped. I put down my hand, it started up again only to fail when I got it to my head. Over and over again for a couple of minutes - every time I lifted it to my head, it just stopped. So I unplugged it, let it cool, cleaned it up, packed it up and shipped it back. Now I'm scared to reorder for fear of getting another defective one. What a disappointment. One worked for 32 years, and the other for 32 seconds. If I do order again, I'll let you know, cuz I was pleased (with one side of my hair anyway) for half a minute.
