In all fairness, this will straighten your hair decently. However, it takes a long time and my hand started to hurt within a couple minutes because the iron is only touching in an inch and a half area (as pictured) and to make use of the entire iron, you need to squeeze it shut very hard. Because you have to hold it closed so tightly, it also pulls on your hair. I can't imagine how this doesn't damage hair. I emailed the seller for a replacement, which was sent out immediately. However, the replacement has the exact same issue of the iron not being flush when you close it. This product is cheaply made and made my bathroom and hair smell like melting plastic. Unfortunately, I will be making a second trip to UPS (which is 33 minute from my house) to return this again and buying a higher quality one next time. I encourage you to learn from my mistake and not waste your time with this product.
