I was very excited to give my fish something else in his tank to keep him upbeat, and as soon as they got to my house, I rinsed them per instructions and put them in my Betta's bowl. The next day when I got home, I realized my fish was lethargic, would not move even when you came close to the glass or rubbed your finger against the tank. He looked almost dead. He usually starts moving immediately when he sees you near his bowl. I immediately replaced the water in his bowl, removing the luffy balls and rinsing everything out. He immediately showed improvement. I believe there was something in these balls that would have killed my fish.
