Is something shady here, of my case was just a freaky accident? I posted comment few months ago and it was taken down. So I repeat: i gave only one star because the product had failure that could result in a fire. Looking at the entries, everybody is happy. Our unit somehow ended with some debris in the fan/blower area. A screw or piece of plastic. The problem was that the unit's motor kept running even the fan was jammed. The temperature in the fan area (on the top) was getting pretty high and one could smell the plastic parts being overheated and degassing. My conclusion is that there is not thermal (over-temperature) shut off feature. Well I am thinking about trying to order this model again, because while it was running it did good job. The problems were two: 1) workmanship problem (screw torque not to spec.) 2) it looks like there is no thermal fuse (shunt) within the electrical circuit. I really would like to hear from the sellers, to find out if the did or will make step to assure there will not be the potential of combustion. This is not electrical current problem. It is potential for combustion due to overheating.
