Doesn't meet the NFPA 54 standard as stated
Letter I sent to Gas Flex: On May 15th I purchased 33 ft. of 1/2" Gas Flex Tubing for the purpose of running it underground from my main propane tank to my gas grill. I did some research before I purchased this but apparently, not enough. On Amazon, it is stated that this pipe is suitable for underground installation. On your website, under TECH RESOURCES, you cite NFPA-54 as the standard that the gas flex is compliant with. There is even a caption highlighted, Section 5.6.2.5. You neglect to show the next Section 5.6.2.6 which states, "Aluminum Installation. Aluminum alloy pipe shall not be used in exterior locations or underground". I found this out when I had already purchased, and buried the Gas Flex. When I called my local propane company in North Carolina, they informed me that no where, in any code, is aluminum allowed to be buried. I will be contacting Amazon and posting my comments on the Amazon pipe as the way I see it, you are misleading a lot of people into thinking that this pipe can be legally buried. I welcome your feedback.
