I probably should not have assumed it could be used on my covered patio in Florida, but I figured it would at least last a little while - WRONG! The fan works very well, but the wire grate rusted like you wouldn't believe within a few weeks. I cleaned scraped and spray painted and it rusted through again - the ugliest sight you ever saw. For the price you would think the wire grate would have been a better quality.
