FLAILED AFTER 25 MONTHS
OK, after months of reviews and stashing the top brands on my wish list - I went for this. Excellent price! I'm gona use it on my Big Truck. No More Thermoelectric coolers for this guy. Hoping it will hold up for years to come. Instructions not real clear - but easy to figure it out: you gota hold the set button for about 10 seconds till it starts to blink, then you can press it and cycle through the F and C and ECO and HH modes. You will also see E1, E2.... codes - these are the error codes just keep cycling. Once you reach the selection you want stop, it will set in about 5 seconds. Also the display shows the internal temp - very nicely done. And it had an internal LED light and heavy duty stay chain - which aren't clear in the pics or description. I plugged it in and set the Temp to 32 F, it went from 65 to 32 in less than 15 minutes in the house. I got a fridge thermometer and it is actually down to 30 F inside, not too shabby. I hate to say this, but yes this is a made in China - and very similar to the ARB Fridge/Freezer - only a tad bigger. Lets hope it holds up as well. Very quiet compressor and is turning on and off within 2 degrees F of my setting - probably set to cycle on and off at 1 degree C. I hope to have follow up reviews in the future. Good or Bad. UPDATE: this fridge looks just like the Smittybilt Artic Fridge/Freezer. Sorry for the poor quality pic. I am showing a 1 gallon jug of wiper fluid inside the cooler to give an idea how large the interior is. 7/16/2018 - purchased the Smittybilt transit bag - it fits perfectly. Heat off my exhaust is comming thru the floor of my Cascadia and bottom of fridge was too hot, folded up some window heat shields and that helped. I lined the bag with one shield and everything is working great. Left fridge on truck 24 hrs in 100 outside temps, parked in the sun - next day the fridge was working and hadn't drained batteries and my food and drinks were a frosty 34 degrees F. July 2020, 25 months and it worked great. Then the temperature sensor went out. Digital reading says its 40f inside, but the compressor keeps running, it's 20f inside. Froze all my food. Was hoping it would last at least 3 years. I'm going to try and have it repaired.
