This looked like a great deal... low price, great storage options, and wonderful Amazon reviews. But, after only 2-3 weeks of use, my Mac no longer recognizes this drive! I plug it in, and the light flashes yellow and blue after ~30 seconds of solid blue. Disk Utility and Finder have no idea my drive is plugged in. As a result, I can no longer access ANY of my data. I reached out to Buffalo regarding their recovery service. After a few days of back and forth communication and transferring of information, they eventually passed me off to another company they work with to handle the recovery service. However, this other company wanted to charge me a MINIMUM of $700 to recover my data... So, I've decided to stick with Seagate since I've historically had ZERO issues with them. In short, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT unless you want to lose all your data.
