I usually don’t take time to write reviews on purchases I make online. I Purchased this hitch mount cargo carrier for a trip I was taking and needed some extra storage. The carrier arrived partially assembled and the powder coat was already scratched. I was hesitant to finish the assemble but due to time constraints I decided to install the cargo carrier on my vehicle, After all I only needed it to haul additional luggage. That was a big mistake, I should have boxed it up and returned it. After getting everything assembled I realized that the holes had been drilled slightly off center. This prevented me from putting the hitch bolts through the carrier. I had already spent an hour on assembly so I was committed to making it work. I had to drill out all four holes to make the carrier functional. Less than a day into the trip the powder coat started flaking off and the bare metal was exposed. Within two days the carrier showed visible signs of rust. The grate on the bottom is made a very cheap thin metal. A few of the welds have already snap free from the frame. If you’re reading this review it means you are considering purchasing this cargo carrier. I suggest looking for a carrier made a better quality materials if you plan to use it more than once.
