Sure this light is bright, but it is not suitable for law enforcement. I got this light about 2 months ago and was very careful with it. On a traffic stop last night, I dropped the light for the first time. It fell on the pavement as I was getting out of the car. The fall was from less than 2 feet. When I picked up the light it was dead. I contacted Barska for help and about the warranty...since the light is advertised as being "Designed for military and law enforcement this flashlight is designed to be shockproof and able to with stand use as a tactical defense too" I figured the warranty would cover damage that was intentional. I was told by Barska that the "warranty" doesn't cover damage caused by the consumer and then I was told my option was to buy a new light. This light is garbage, it's as "shock proof" as a beer bottle. I wouldn't recommend this light to anyone.
