Do not, Do not, DO NOT BUY THIS TV
Cool TV, but randomly it will not power on. It drives me nuts. I try to power cycle it and no change. Often it just starts working again on its own. Not sure I can recommend this TV with that flaw. UPDATE! See my review above? This happened to me at least once a week. I take ownership in that I did nothing. I figured attempting to replace it would be a pain. So here's what happened. It powered off and will no longer power back on. The red light keeps flashing nonstop. So what happened? Let me explain my first frustrating encounter with Amazon and this crap company Element. 1. I contacted Amazon by email regarding my problem in detail. 2. I was told to call in for support. So I did, I called in and they transferred me to Element. I was then on the phone waiting for 25 minutes. TWENTY FIVE Minutes at 7pm! 3. We did some completely worthless troubleshooting and tried to set me up with a refurbished replacement. I refused, demanding a refund. Let me explain that thought a bit. I've literally been having this problem for awhile. If you search around, this problem is pretty frequent. So here I am with a TV, not even a year old, and I'm going to endure the headache of replacing it. Only to get a refurbished model that might very well do the same thing. Nope. 4. I get a reference number and I'm told to call Amazon for refund. I contact them via chat. I was transferred a total of 4 times. They kept transferring me back to Element. Despite me stating in my opening description that I had already spoke to them and I had a reference number. Amazon, tell your people to shut the hell up, listen, slow down, then act. 5. I get a manager who really and honestly tried to help me. She couldn't get me a refund and had me waiting for about an hour. She said she was trying to come up with a solution. 6. I get told we have to deal with Element. I decide to wait till the next day. 7. I call Element and wait 30 minutes to get someone. I get someone on the phone and I'm given these two options. The first is to go through the warranty process which is to take pictures of the unit. Front and back. Along with the serial number. Along with send them a copy of my invoice. Then they will mail me a return label. That's it and that's right. These morons wanted me to go and find a box to put this 55 inch TV into. The other option was for a refund. She told me that process takes... 3 to 5 weeks. What!? What takes that long in this day and age? Nothing! So after much complaining, I opted for that one. Haha. I honestly am so mad, I don't know what to do. I will never, ever buy a Element TV. Maybe even never buy a TV from Amazon again. So please, whatever you do. Regardless of the current low price. I paid $700 for mine. Do not, do not buy this TV. I originally gave this review 3 stars. I wish I could lower to -3 stars.
