Now let me explain the title of this review: We purchased two packs of these and installed them on all the entry ways to our home. The sound is loud enough to hear from all areas of the house which I would rate a 5/5, however, the issue we had with every single of one of these alarms is that they fell off the doors in 4 days. Both the alarm itself and the magnetic strip came crashing to the ground. The what seemed like very sticky backing to these devices slipped right off of our doors (Noted: We were sure to clean the surfaces and let them dry overnight before placing the alarms on the doors so that this would not happen and so that the surface was bare with no chance of dirt or other particles preventing the sticky from sticking). The issue with this is that we have pets and young children. When the alarm falls, the 4 small batteries about the size of a fingernail scatter across the floor in every direction. We were chasing cats, dogs and children around the house trying to get the batteries out of toddler hands and animal MOUTHS. In NO WAY do I see this acceptable in any way. We all know, swallowing batteries can have life-ending consequences- a risk no parent is willing to take. We are extremely dissatisfied with the purchase and will not purchase again. These were meant to keep our home safe and not do the exact opposite.
