I used this pot about 3 times. The third time the metal on the bottom of the pan pitted. I don't know if the underlying metal is safe. I use this to cook pasta and I am afraid the boiling water will pick up metals from the pitted areas that might be harmful. This happened two days after the Amazon return window. It is a beautiful pot and I love it but I feel that I wasted $60.00. Very unhappy!
