(Chunks of plastic in our snow cones) I would NOT recommend anyone getting this snow cone maker!!! Immediately openinh, cleaning and reading the instructions entirely, we make snow cones for our 2 year old, 5 year old and my husband and I. It makes a horrible noise when making the snow cones. We made up our kids snow cones, gave it to them to enjoy and then proceeded to make ours. My husband and I felt PLASTIC with the first couple of bites and spit it out! I immediately took my kids away and took out pieces of plastic from everyone’s snow cones! I felt horrible for even making them and stressed so much about my kids possibly eating chunks of plastic!! I was a nervous wreck. Needless to say, we returned it and I talked with Amazon about not selling something that is harmful when used and consumed. I wouldn’t buy this snow cone maker. I ended up buying one from William Sonoma after this happened for more money but it’s worth getting a good one that will never do what this one did. I read so many reviews about this snow cone maker and it was even “Amazons choice” when searching for snow cone makers. I seen so many pictures of childrens birthday parties and kids eating the snow cones and now knowing what can happen with this machine, I’m really hoping that there was no plastic in their snow cones like ours had! Just be aware of this before purchasing.
