This brush does not work no matter what I do; it is complete garbage
I own a LumaRx Facial cleaning brush which I use periodically. It is a wonderful brush that works very well and is $130 cheaper than this. Unfortunately, this Clarisonic brush has many flaws and the one I received does not even work. As per the instructions, I charged this for 18 hours. I then installed the software. It required setting up an account and then registering the product. The registration failed because it asks for a lot code (which it says is on the handle); however, there is no lot code on my handle anywhere. I had to skip the registration. I then turned on Bluetooth and tried to pair the app with the Clarisonic. Although, it paired automatically in my Bluetooth "app," the Calrisonic app kept saying it did not pair. I tried numerous times to get this to work and failed. Next, I tried to operate the brush without using any of the "Smart features." The brush does not rotate when the power is on. That is useless. I tried numerous times to re-seat the brush head and had no luck. I then took a look at the well where the head sits and turned on the unit without the head. I would assume the part inside needs to spin but it did not. NEGATIVES - The brush head does not spin. Even though the instructions do not say this, this type of brush should spin--what's the point of power then. - The instructions are useless. In fact, there are 26 pages and only three are in English that provide cautions and warnings like do not use where it can fall into a bathtub, etc. There is only one line of instructions that is useful and that is to charge the brush for 18 hours for 60 minutes of use time. Everything else is either an FCC statement or DO NOT do this or DO NOT do that. The first page that has a diagram of the product is useful also but does not help the user to get to know the product much more than what part is what. - The brush head is so top heavy that it repeatedly falls over at the slightest touch when seated in the charging base even if it is on a flat surface. - This only comes with one soft brush head. The different types of heads they sell should be included. - No power cord is provided. Yes there is a charging base, but it has a USB connection. That is not much of a problem in today's society, but at this price; a regular outlet plug should be standard or at least a separate USB wall charger should be part of the package. POSITIVES There are no positives--nothing works the way it is supposed to. At any price this is garbage and that is where it is heading. UPDATE: Clarisonic sent me an email and said "The Clarisonic brush head does not rotate or spin. The inside brush head bristles oscillate in either direction. The oscillation is so fast it looks like a blur. The outside rows of bristles remain still." Even though I did not say it in my review above, I did try the brush on my face with it oscillating. It did not oscillate much at all and did absolutely nothing to spread the soap on my face. I also tried rotating it myself by using a scrubbing motion and that also did not help because the bristles were too soft. I already threw this out today as this brush is useless to me. My LumaRx Facial cleaning brush is ten times better.
