This was our first water cooler puchase as we have purchased water bottles every week for years. We purchased this as a way to save on waste of water and plastic bottles and I was tired of gathering 1/2 used bottles around the house and in vehicles. For this reason, it does serve its purpose and as an added bonus I find myself drinking more water each day. Now for the negatives. 1. The cooling function is WAY TOO NOISY! I have to turn it off anytime we are in the family room since it is open to the kitchen. I am going to purchase machine screws with rubber heads at HD to secure the cooling rack in the back and it should fix the problem. If you put pressure towards top of rack the vibration noise is reduced significantly. I noticed there are two predrilled holes in the back frame of the cooler towards top of rack for adding screws so maybe mine was missing them from the factory? 2. Hot water is fine. However, there is no temp difference between the cold and cool buttons. They are both cold People have been asking about temperatures. I measured using my Fluke 87V with temp probe and the hot was 168° and the cold was 50° . I am sure the cold will drop a few more degrees as the refrigeration had only been running an hour from room temperature since it had been shut off due to noise earlier in the day. **UPDATE 1/30/2019 - Stopped by Ace Hardware and picked up a #6 5/8” machine screw, #6 washer and rubber washer. All three items were under a $1 for two sets. Recommend getting 3/4” instead as I couldn’t secure right side since it was just a bit too short. Either way my wife said she did not notice it was running all day! Like I said before use the pre-existing holes to screw into and it should quiet it down significantly.
