Disappointed. Great concept. Got a lot of Praises. Broke in 3 Months.
Durability Issues! We were pushing our child (11month old, 20lb) through San Francisco, CA on July 20, 2018 when the right handlebar arm snapped in half as we were pushing him off a sidewalk ramp. We put the stroller away due to safety concerns. The left arm broke when when we opened the stroller back up to take photos.
As a manufacturing engineer who specializes in plastics, I find it obvious that the cracks are all a result of poor molding parameters and inherent molding stresses. Both cracks propagated along the weld/knit lines that form at the holes of the joints.
Considering that we’ve used this stroller for less than a dozen times (malls and short city trips) in the span of 3months, this is a huge concern. What if both arms snapped off at the same time?!? My baby would have fallen out onto his head!
Misc:
- stroller is REALLY light and compact. We’ve brought it with us onto a flight before without needing to check it in. It fits right into the overhead compartment.
- Sunshade is useless 90% of the time... it’s better than the previous model since it covers the sides a bit. But then again, the previous model’s shade was 100% useless.
- Storage is able to hold... a Baby Bjorn Carrier. That’s it.
- Folding has its good and bad days. I never fold in the back because it makes the process extremely awkward and if you have your front wheels turning unlocked, you’ll run into it jamming from time to time.
