Disclaimer: I typically never write long reviews or any reviews for that matter. This is important to me because the health of animals is potentially at stake. If you don't want to read below, long story short: Something changed with the food since the price from (from $32 to $17 for the 14lb bag) and after a year of eating the food, my cat didn't touch the $17 bag. BEWARE before buying this food, something has changed. ------------ My 2 year old cat has been eating this exact Nutro Chicken and Brown Rice for over a year now with zero problems. Typically a 14lb bag costs about $32. For some reason Nutro dropped the price of the 14lb bag to $17 dollars, I thought great! As soon as I got the bag and started feeding my cat, she would not TOUCH this food. After 24 hours (and two failed feeding attempts, I feed twice a day only) I went to the local Tractor Supply and got another 14lb bag for the typical $32 price. I usually buy the 14lb bag from Chewy, which has been great. The first time I tried Amazon, and the $17 price 14lb bag, my cat would not touch it. I've read other reviews how other peoples cats have been getting sick recently because of the new food. My cat definitely smells a difference in whatever is wrong with this batch. Regardless if Nutro changed the ingredients, or it was a bad batch they were trying to push out by dropping the price, PLEASE BE CAREFUL. I've been trying to contact Nutro with no success yet. I need to know if this is a temporary thing, if they changed the ingredients, or whats going on. Unfortunately I'm likely going to try and change my cats diet over to a new one because of this. Which does suck because my cat really did well with this food. I understand every cat is different, and some cats may react perfectly fine to this new $17 , 14lb bag of cat food. However my cat does not, so please be aware of this before purchasing, its not what it use d to be!
