Buzzing Problem Explained
Sadly, I bought many of these bulbs and they all have clear buzzing/humming problems. I love the color of the bulbs and the brightness. But the buzzing is quite annoying, even with some background noise.
First off, if you are using these bulbs with a regular switch (a switch that doesn't dim), then you are fine. I did not have buzzing sounds initially with a regular switch. Once I switched to a dimmer switch, the buzzing became clear.
It does not buzz immediately, but it takes maybe 20-30 mins for the bulb to warm up and start buzzing. It does not matter what the dimmer switch is set to; it still buzzes while bright or while dim.
I tried 3 different dimmer switches (2 analog, 1 digital), and all 3 had the exact same problem. I have around 30 of these bulbs in 5 different rooms with 7 different dimmer switches, and the results are 100% the same across the board.
Again, I loved everything about these bulbs, but to use them as a dimming bulb is just not cutting it with the buzzing sound. Do not buy these if you plan to use them with a dimmer or if you faintly care about buzzing sounds.
Dimmer switches I tried:
Lutron Diva C L Dimmer - DVCL-153PR-WH
Leviton IllumaTech
Lutron C L Digital Dimmer - MACL-153MLH-WH
EDIT: These dimmer switches are meant for LED bulbs.
