Beware. Bialetti/Bradshaw International quality has gone down the drain, their stainless steel pots are made in China/India and the quality reeks, I have nothing against it being a China made product as I have a Imusa made in China that is better quality and cheaper than Bialetti branded. I have bought all Stainless steel models from Bialetti, the Kitty which was horrible, the Venus which came dirty with machine grease inside and to my astonishment inside the crevice in the upper chamber had solder exposed from the very very sloppy welding process, third time's the charm so I bought this Venus giving Bialetti a last chance and lo and behold, same machine grease and solder inside the pot, I decided this time to write to Bialetti with my concern and was responded to by a CSR from a Company called Bradshaw International, he proceeded to ask me for picture and then responded with a "well if you don't like it return it", completely blew off my question about the solder and wether they consider that a defect or if there is anything health wise of concern here. I'm never buying anything Bialetti and recommend you stay very far away, Bialetti is no longer what it once was, I don't know what happened to them and why is their support going to Bradshaw who as far as I know is a distributing company but they most likely riding the name. If you are looking for a stainless pot I can recommend Imusa or primula, nothing amazing, cheap, works and don't have the welding problems.
