Like the other reviewers, I'd been having problems with this app for a long time; it crashed whenever a video came up in my feed; it crashed whenever I tried to look at a "like" page; it crashed when I clicked on links. These problems were undoubtedly caused by Amazon's utter refusal to update the app, which is, apparently, nearly two years old. Well, today, it choked on a video (as always) and crashed, but this time, it crashed for good. I can no longer get the app to open at all. I click on it, and it starts opening, then immediately crashes. Force-quitting and even rebooting the Kindle didn't work. I suppose, in light of the fact that the app is wildly out of date, it was only a matter of time before it quit completely. Don't bother with this app. If you want to read Facebook on the Kindle, just use a browser.
