Absolute garbage
I'm generally more of a positive reviewer... It takes a lot for me to leave a 1 star review... But this thing is total garbage. I took my chances after reading the other reviews about some of the shelves being bent because that's something I can live with. Got mine today, took everything out of the packaging and inspected it all... For starters, half of the zip ties that were supposed to be holding the bars together were already cut, so it had been open before... This didn't bother me, so I continued on...I inspected all of the shelves and fortunately only one was very slightly bent, but not enough to fuss about it. I started to assemble the unit... Now, I'm a fairly handy person, and this is the 7th storage rack of this style that I've assembled in my house, so I'm not a complete idiot.... I've been putting this stupid thing together for probably 4 hours... Now, it's not that difficult to assemble... It's fairly easy, especially if you have put together this style shelving unit before. The reason it's taking so long is because NOTHING is straight... After assembling each "tower", it's clearly bent and not standing straight... So I had to sit there trying to bend it straight... After at least an hour...I finally got it close to straight, so I started setting up the rest... As in most other reviews, the two top shelves don't line up, not a huge concern to me... But that's mostly because the two towers aren't straight. The hanger rod that goes across freely telescopes, there's no locking mechanism like you would expect, to keep it from collapsing back together. I'm not sure I like that, So I may end up buying a different more stable rode to replace it. Also, I only planned on using one of the rods because I bought it to hang long items... Which I guess I'm lucky, since the other rod was not drilled correctly so I can't even screw into it with the provided screws anyways. So it's just a wasted piece of metal. And just a side note, this is my fault for not measuring, but being only 14 inches deep, that is definitely not wide enough to fully fit any type of large jacket without being completely smooshed up against the wall. So I have to keep it about 4 inches away from the wall. The only reason I didn't return this is because I really don't want to deal with taking it back apart and packaging it all back up.
