Well it worked fine for a while and then it gave out with no notice at all. I saw other reviewers on here say the same thing happen to them and i was hoping it didn't happen to me. Just to be clear it worked fine for the first year no problems at all and i never moved it, it was stationary with ample air flow and nothing around it. The fact that its only 1 year warranty and it breaks a little after the warranty is up is sad. I contacted seagate and all they did was have me run test with their program and send them screenshots showing the test failed and then told me its nothing they can do cause its out of warranty. I got this cause of the price but i wished i had paid more and got the Western Digital instead, i have a 2tb wd external that has been knocked around a lot and its still going.. I wont waste my money on another seagate again. I can understand if it was because it fell or i was careless but it was never moved and then went bad
