I bought two rotary cutters during Black Friday sales--this one and a straight armed Fiskars that was part of a cutting mat set. The straight armed cutter slices through fabric like a dream. By applying minimal pressure, the blade just slides through fabric and it's magically in two pieces. This one absolutely won't cut. I have tried light pressure and heavy pressure. I have tried both loosening and tightening the tension bolt and nothing. Before you ask, yes, the blade is extended but it might as well not be for how effectively it "cuts". There are only so many moving parts, so I have a hard time believing that this thing has outsmarted me, but unless there is some magical secret to which I'm not privy, I would absolutely not recommend this cutter to anyone. I have ordered a pack of replacement blades and will try swapping out the blade once they arrive. If there is a noticeable difference, I will update.
